How to restore factory settings on the Apollo (All)

  1. From the Home Screen, press F4.
  2. On the next screen, select option 8, Memory.
  3. Press F4 to enter the Delete options menu.
  4. Use the up and down arrows to navigate to the type of data you would like to delete and press F3 on each one selecting all boxes.
  5. Press F4 to delete the data.
  6. You will see a safety net popup to make sure you have selected the right data to delete.
  7. Press the Enter key above the green button on the keypad to confirm deletion.
  8. Wait for the Apollo to delete the information and press Enter again when you receive the popup notification.
  9. Press F1 to go back to the Home screen.

How to set up user preferences on the Apollo (All)

Before you proceed please ensure you set up your user text and comment fields using this guide

  1. From the Home screen, press F1 (PAT)
  2. Then press F4 (settings)
  3. On Asset Id, press the Right key on the direction pad to enter the drop down menu and press down to Increment and press the Right key to select.
  4. Press down on the direction pad to Start Increment and enter 0001.
  5. Then press down to After Test, press right on the direction pad and move down to Print Label, and press Right to select.
  6. Move down to earth result and press F3 to enter the Comments fields, here you can select the user fields you set up previously. Find out how to set up the text lines here.
  7. Once you have selected your desired comments fields press F4 to save the settings.
  8. Press F1 to return to the home screen.


How to update the Apollo firmware (All)

  1. Go to www.seaward.co.uk/apollofirmware and save the latest Apollo 500 or 600 firmware file to a USB memory stick.
  2. Power on the unit whilst holding down the F1 button.
  3. Press F2 to update via memory stick.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  5. Restart the unit

How to upload a background image your Apollo (500 & 600)

Please connect your Apollo to a computer using the USB cable.

  1. From the Home Screen press F4
  2. Select option 7 from the menu using the keypad on the tester.
  3. Use the up, down, left and right keys to navigate to the Upload data into Apollo and press the right key to enter the drop down list.
  4. Use the up and down keys to navigate to Background Images and press the right key to select.
  5. Then press the down key to navigate to using, and press right.
  6. Navigate down to USB-PC Cable and press Right to select. The tester will now connect to the computer.
  7. On your computer, in Computer, the device will show. Click on the Apollo device icon.
  8. Drag your new background image into the folder that has opened up.
  9. Once your image is in the folder, press F3 on the Apollo tester, this will show the new logo file path on the tester.
  10. Press F4 to save.
  11. Press the F1 to return to the Home Screen.

Please note, you can use a USB memory stick to upload images. Just upload the images to the root folder of the memory and when you have selected USB-PC Cable, press Save and it will save ALL images in that folder to the one you have specified in step 4.

How do I change the background image on my Apollo (500 & 600)

  1. From the Home Screen press the F4 Key
  2. Here you will be given a list of options which you can select using the 1-8 keys.
  3. Select option 2, Users.
  4. On the next screen use the down arrow on the keypad to scroll through the options to Background image.
  5. Press the right key which will open the dropdown section where you will be able to choose from a list of background images.
  6. Use the up and down keys to select your desired background image, then press the right arrow once you are on the image name you would like to use.
  7. Press F4 to save your settings.
  8. Then press F1 to go back to your Home screen where you will see the new background image in-situ.

How to upload your company logo to use on printer labels to the Apollo (All)

Please connect your Apollo to a computer using the USB cable.

  1. From the Home Screen press F4.
  2. Select option 7 from the menu using the keypad on the tester.
  3. Use the up, down, left and right keys to navigate to the Upload data into Apollo and press the right key to enter the drop down list.
  4. Use the up and down keys to navigate to Printer Logos and press the right key to select.
  5. Then press the down key to navigate to using, and press right.
  6. Navigate down to USB-PC Cable and press Right to select. The tester will now connect to the computer.
  7. On your computer, in Computer, the device will show. Click on the Apollo device icon.
  8. Drag your company logo .BMP into the folder that has opened up.
  9. Once your .BMP logo is in the folder, press F3 on the Apollo tester, this will show the new logo file path on the tester.
  10. Press F4 to save the new logo as your printer logo.
  11. Press the F1 to return to the Home Screen.

Please note, you can use a USB memory stick to upload images. Just upload the images to the root folder of the memory and when you have selected USB-PC Cable, press Save and it will save ALL images in that folder to the one you have specified in step 4.

How to set up an Apollo to automatically print labels after a PAT test (All)

  1. From the home Screen press F1 (PAT)
  2. On the Next Screen press F4 (Settings)
  3. Using the up and down keys, scroll down to After Test and press the Right key to enter the dropdown menu.
  4. Move up or down to Print Label, and press the Right directional key to select the option.
  5. Press F4 to save the settings.
  6. Press F1 to return to the home screen.


How do I delete a single asset on my Apollo (500 & 600)

  1. From the Home Screen press F4.
  2. Then from the next screen using the 1-8 keys on the keypad, choose option 1, Data.
  3. You will see the list of available Assets. Use the up and down arrows to navigate to the correct site and press F4 to enter the asset details.
  4. On the next screen use the up and down keys to select the asset information you want to delete and press F3. You will be presented with a safety net to make user you have selected the right asset information to be deleted.
  5. To confirm that you want to delete that asset press the enter key, just above the green key at the bottom.
  6. Press the F1 key to go back to the home screen.
  7. Follow steps 1 – 3 to check that the asset information has been deleted.


How to delete data on your Apollo (500 & 600)

  1. From the Home Screen, press F4.
  2. On the next screen, select option 8, Memory.
  3. Press F4 to enter the Delete options menu.
  4. Use the up and down arrows to navigate to the type of data you would like to delete.
  5. Press F3 to select the data you would like to delete.
  6. Press F4 to delete the data.
  7. You will see a safety net popup to make sure you have selected the right data to delete.
  8. Press the Enter key above the green button on the keypad to confirm deletion.
  9. Wait for the Apollo to delete the information and press Enter again when you receive the popup notification.
  10. Press F1 to go back to the Home screen.


How to confirm firmware and calibration information on the Apollo (500 & 600)

  1. From the home screen press F5 (this will show the Apollo Firmware)
  2. Then press F4 (Details) this will show the calibration date.
