SEAWARD MAKES A NEW CASE FOR NEW ADVANCED PAT TESTING

1st July 2008

The new PrimeTest 350 package links Seaward's new IEE PAT Code compliant portable appliance tester with a complete range of test accessories. The kit is designed to ensure that contractors, maintenance engineers, safety and service teams can carry out workplace electrical safety testing with maximum speed and efficiency.

The lightweight and battery powered PrimeTest 350 incorporates a range of new features to ensure that testing is carried out in accordance with the latest IEE Code of Practice for Portable Appliance Testing. These include RCD and alternative leakage tests, and an additional 250V insulation test for use when suppressors of components prevent a conventional 500V test.

Complementing the advanced tester in the new special advanced PATSolutions package is a rugged and portable Test N Tag Elite printer, a Bluetooth scanner and the Vista compatible PATGuard 2 Elite test data management software.

As a result, this complete kit combines fast and effective testing of all workplace appliances with on the spot safety labelling and the subsequent downloading of test data for comprehensive record keeping.

In addition, to ensure the continued accuracy of test readings in periods between formal calibrations, the special package also includes a new PAT Checkbox.

For maximum convenience the PrimeTest 350 tester, supporting accessories and test leads are all contained in a durable and lightweight carrying case. The advanced test package also comes with a 12 months PATGuard software support contract.

The Seaward Advanced PATSolutions range complements other special test packages designed for different PAT test system needs which are available in the shape of Professional PATSolutions and Basic PATSolutions equipment kits.
