HAL leads for Seaward at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics
12th January 2015
A range of high performance electrical safety testers that enable manufacturers of electrical and electronic products to comply with the required performance and safety standards will be the focus of the Clare stand (G62) at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics.
The HAL 104 combines the performance of a multi-function production line safety tester with load and power factor measurement for product energy consumption and ratings assessments. This highly versatile all-in-one tester can be connected to a test enclosure to enable accurate electrical tests to be carried out, as required by modern electronic manufacturing environments.
In particular, it enables flash testing during production to ensure sensitive electronic components comply with safety standards and do not contain any defects. This meets the demand among component assemblers that all electronic components should be able to pass testing before final build and assembly.
The HAL104 can be used as a manual stand-alone tester with simple push button test activation or can be fully integrated into automated manufacturing systems with selectable sensors and enclosure interlocks, or by ultimate control using remote PCs and PLCs.
Also available is the HAL LED, which provides power measurement of less than 1000W with a resolution of 200Mw. This delivers better resolution at low power to offer greater control of the output of products under test, ensuring improved accuracy and quality control standards during manufacturing.
Improved resolution at lower power allows an LED manufacturer to ensure that the quality control aspect of a functional test is within acceptable limits and the product is shipped with the knowledge that it is as efficient as expected.
