Electrical Safety Roundtable Established as Formal Group
9th February 2016
The Electrical Safety Roundtable has now been established as a formal industry group providing a leading industry forum, dedicated to providing independent electrical and home safety guidance to consumers.
Originally a regular event held to discuss electrical safety issues, it is now a permanent organisation, governed by a dedicated Board of Directors chaired by Chris Bielby, Chair of the Gas Safety Trust.
The forum aims to meet three times a year in London to discuss challenges facing the sector and build consensus around potential solutions to improve electrical safety in the home.
The organisation’s website provides a new framework of home safety checklists and certificates for the first time. They provide a means for landlords to keep track of the important steps necessary to meet their duty of care and comply with key legal obligations while giving tenants the chance to make informed choices and rent with confidence.
