Q. How do I test 3 phase equipment?

A.

1) Having obtained the correct 3ph. adapter from our sales office.

2) Start up your Europa Plus/Supernova Plus tester in the usual manner.

3) Plug the 3 ph. Equipment socket into the adapter.

4) Plug the adapter into the tester.

5) From main menu select ‘Manual Mode'.

6) From the list select ‘Appliance ID'.

7) Enter the unique appliance reference.

8) Press enter and the reference is saved then displayed at the bottom of the display.

9) From the list select ‘Visual Test' and do the Visual Test.

10) Then select the Earth Bond Test.

11) Ensure the setting is correct for the pass/fail limit.

12) Do the test and then press the ‘No/Abort' Key to get back to the test menu.

13) Select the ‘Insulation Test'.

14) Do the test and then press the ‘No/Abort' Key to get back to the test menu.

15) Now go down to the ‘Enter comments/save results'.

16) In this you can end the procedure by entering your comments and the tester will save the results.

17) Test next piece of equipment.
