Q. How do I transfer my edited reports to my new PATGuard program ?

A.

This must be done before  you install your new program.

1.   Open the 'Reports' folder in your PATGuard directory.  The default installation path is - C:\Program Files\Seaward\PATGuard* where * is the program name e.g. PATGuard Elite's default directory is C:\Program Files\Seaward\PATGuard Elite.

2.   Copy the required reports into another folder then install your new PATGuard program, registering it, if necessary, with new Serial Number and Unlock Codes.

3.   Open your new PATGuard program and make copies of similar reports giving them exactly the same names as your saved edited reports.

4.   Copy your saved edited reports from the save folder into the new PATGuard directory's Reports folder overwriting the new copies automatically created in step 3.

5.   Open your new PATGuard program go to a new Report, right-click and select 'Edit'.  You may get a message about the format - select OK. 

6.   In the report designer select 'Save' and exit the report.

7.   You can now access one of your original reports in your new program.

8.   Repeat steps 5-7 for each of your saved reports.
