Q. How do I find an Asset in my PATGuard database ?
A.
You can search your PATGuard database using the following search options:
- Site Name
- Location Name
- Asset ID
- Description
- Asset Group
- Serial Number
- Next Check Date
Any number of the above parameters can be set jointly.
NOTE: With PATGuard Lite the only search criteria is Asset ID.
To search for an Asset in your PATGuard database:
- Select Edit from the toolbar menu then select Find, or select the Find icon on the main window of the program. A new window will appear where you can enter your search criteria.
- Press OK when you have entered the necessary parameters.
- The first matching Asset will be found and highlighted in the right hand window.
- You can use the Find Next option in the Edit toolbar menu to find the next matching Asset.
- When no more Assets match the search criteria a message will be displayed to this effect.
NOTE: PATGuard will only search the database currently open.
