Secondhand testers

Postby Ford Prefect » Wed Oct 28, 2015 9:40 am

Is there much of a secondhand market for old testers?
I've got a Primetest 350 that is no longer needed by our company and it seems a shame to let it rot on the shelf.
Does anyone know of a company (Seawards for instance) who buy them back, referb them then sell them on? or would it be an eBay job?

Cheers.

I bought my Europa Plus from eBay second hand. Saved a mint and it is a perfectly serviceable machine.

With the cost of new testers being so high, newbies who are not sure if this is the game for them, need to cut costs.

All I would suggest is to get it calibrated before sale so the buyer knows it is in perfect working order!!

Cheers Alan.
I'll look into getting it calibrated then decide what to do next.

Thanks again.

I used RS UK to get our tester calibrated. They were pretty reasonable and had free delivery.

Hi All

Many of our distributors offer trade ins on old testers so it may be worth speaking to your local agent.
Thanks and kind regards
