Patguard Elite 2 and windows 10

Postby gaz » Sun Jun 28, 2015 1:51 pm

Can Seaward advise users of PATGuard Elite 2 if it will continue to run if we take up Microsoft's offer to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10. What if anything do we need to do before installing 10?

I ask as i remember falling foul of the Software that Seaward use to protect your program in the past and don't want to risk getting locked out again

"Can Seaward advise users of PATGuard Elite 2 if it will continue to run if we take up Microsoft's offer to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10. " PG2 won't run under Win 8.1, so a fair bet that you can kiss goodbye to it running under Win 10- PG2 runs real nice under 7 pity to change really, as PG3 is geared up to Apollo 500/600 rather than Seaward's older testers so you might be getting a free upgrade form MS for a new operating system- but forking out for new software/testers

Hi gaz

As PATGuard 2 is an obsolete product it will not be tested on Windows 10. PATGuard 3 will be tested on Windows 10 once it is released.
I would advise you to update to PATGuard 3 as it is backwards compatible with all Seaward testers (there is a full list on our website) and has additional functionality. Please see the PATGuard 3 pages on our website for full details on how to upgrade.

Thanks and kind regards
