Patguard 2 Due Items

Postby southseas » Sun May 19, 2013 9:16 pm

Is there an easy way of generating a list of items that are coming due for a prevously tested client? eg, I have a client that has some items due for annual retest and some items that are due for retest every five years, I'd like to be able give my client a list of the items that I'm coming through to retest.

Cheers

Southseas, run a Concise Task Checklist or Detailed Task Checklist report. You can specify start & finish dates along with Full, Visual or Both Tests options. Hope this helps.

Could we have some more detail on how to actually go about it, what the start/finish dates actually mean, etc? The User Guide, as with most things, is extremely light on detail.
TIA.

You set these for the items that need to be tested on your next visit, for example, down in this part of the world, we test factory/workshop items every six months. If I wanted to see what a client was going to need tested next month, I'd set the Start Date at 1/11/2014 and Finish at 30/11/2014. If there had been some retesting/new testing out of sequence, then I might set the finish date for end of April 2015. That would produce a list of all assets that required retesting in that period.
If you visual test items, you can select only those visuals due, full test only or all tests. If you don't specify a client & site, then it will produce a report that lists all items due in the specified time period

Thanks, south, for your reply. It answered my main question. But i'm guessing it doesn't pick up on stuff that was last tagged 6yrs ago, can't report only locations containing due items, etc.
Thanks again.

I always save the results in an excel doc and then apply filters. I also send this to the customer so they can view what's due each year. I print the list out so I also have an idea what's due and where they were last found, it's a shorter clearer list to keep handy. In PAT Guard 2 you highlight the site then I think it's left click to give option to save as csv file then when saved apply filters then save as a excel 2003/2007 doc.

Yep, lists all due (or well past due) items by location, could specify certain appliance descriptions (depending on how you have recorded those)- have a play, you'll get the hang of it.
