Primetest 300 Earth Bond Lead

Postby rscurd » Tue Apr 03, 2012 6:54 pm

Hi All
I have recently purchased a 2nd hand Primetest 300 to see how much easier it is to use in the field, rather than lugging the faithful Supernova Elite around. The plan was to give the Primetest 300 a run out to determine ease of use before purchasing new ones.
However, I seem to have a problem with the Earth bond test lead (which I believe to be original) whereas the lead needs to be "Nulled out" before every test as otherwise results in a failure.
This is driving me nuts, is there a way around this or does the unit need to go in for repair.
Any help would be handy regarding this issue.

Hi Led

Just spotted this one down the list. Did you get this sorted? You shouldn't have to null the lead each time it is used. The unit is calibrated using a standard Seaward test lead - the null should only be required if using a longer lead.
