PT300 Clock is never correct

Postby Mark Coles » Fri Sep 23, 2011 4:59 pm

Hi there.
I've got several PT300s and some just won't keep the right time, any suggestions?

Hi Mark

What do you mean they wont keep the right time? What is happening? Are you setting the time and then its completly wrong next time you switch on the tester?

How old are the testers?

Feel free to give me a call at anytime to discuss.

Hi Mark,

Had the same problem with one of our older PT350's - It seems there is a small button battery inside that keeps the clock ticking as it were. You need to get it back to an approved service centre to get this replaced. I understand it is soldered onto one of the circuit boards so not a DIY job like a PC coin battery would be.
