I still think the IEE CoP advice (and therefore the advice in your FAQ) on insulation tests for Class II 2-core cord sets is pretty pointless.
I assert that there are no meaningful electrical tests that can be performed on a BS1363 to IEC C7 cord set, and only a formal visual inspection should be done.

Grizzly,

I understand your comment on Class II, 2 core mains leads. A formal visual inspection is often the best method for find defects but as the IEE CoP is established as best practise we will always refer users to the guidance published by the IEE. I will pass your comments on the IEE.
