Determining age of Europa Plus?

Postby Trapdoor » Wed Jan 27, 2016 12:10 am

Is there a sure fire method to determine manufacturing age of the Europa plus?

I'm looking to buy a second unit probably from eBay and there are a few listed. Some are in completely black cases, some in grey with the red rubber holster.

The reason for wanting to know is that after talking to Seaward repair centre, I was informed that Europas older than 10 years were no longer repairable. My current tester is grey and is 9 years old now according to what I was told when I gave the serial number.

The black cased units 'look' older and I just want to steer clear in case an issue develops which I'm then told consigns the tester to the bin.
