PATesting IT equipment with Prime Test 100

Postby cooie » Fri Jan 17, 2014 4:15 pm

Is it possible to PA test computers and other IT equipment with the Prime Test 100? I can't see a way to do it without a 500v insulation test.
Anyone using this model on IT equipment?

IT kit shouldn't have any problem with a 500V IR test.
It's the reduced current earth bond test that's the important one.

The 250V IR test was introduced to enable proper testing of surge protected leads, etc.

Dear Cooie,

The 500 V DC test is suitable for IT equipment that is CE marked. CE marked IT equipment should comply with the requirements of BS EN60950, which states that the equipment can withstand a dielectric strength test of 1500V r.m.s.
