Eutopa+ Clock battery replacement

Hi Guys

My Europa+ has been forgetting the date & time since just after its last calibration
Ive just asked my local calibration house for a quote to replace the battery and was told that its £130 as the battery is soldered to the main PCB and is a pain in the @r$e to replace

I'm wondering if i can replace the battery myself and then just send it off to get calibrated or does the battery need to be replaced by a service engineer/calibration house?

Thanks
Grant

We just had calibration and internal battery replaced on a Europa Plus for £110 inc return postage exc VAT by Seaward's Calibration House so £130 just for battery replacement sounds like extortion. You probably could replace the battery yourself but they are a cramped rats nest of boards and wiring inside.

Hi Grant,

You might want to visit www.calibrationhouse.com and request a quote to replace the battery.
