I don't use the PT300, I have the Europa Plus.

I know that the download for Pat Guard is .sss format, and any rs232 download program will extract the file to hard drive ready for email. The one I use is free. Try http://www.eltima.com/products/rs232-data-logger/

I would not know, but you need to get the file downloaded somehow to the PC in .sss format.

Hi Nick

As Alan says, it is possible to send an SSS format file to a PC from a Supernova or Europa using a terminal program (such as Hyperterminal). With the PT300 or 350 you can download text files in this manner but not SSS format as that requires a bi-directional communication and terminal programs simply grab whatever comes in on the serial or USB port. For the PT300/350 you will could capture a text download but would need a PATGuard progam to capture SSS files. The entry level PATGuard Lite would allow you to download SSS files to a PC which could then be emailed.
