### Europa Plus Earth Bond Resistance Calculator

**Tue May 01, 2012 2:52 pm**Does anyone know why the values generated by the built-in Earth Bond Resistance Calculator on the Europa Plus are so much larger than the nominal resistance of the conductors as taken from widely published tables?

For example:

1mm CSA (10A) 3M nominal resistance 0.0585 Ohms - Seward Calc 0.16 Ohms

1mm CSA (10A) 6M nominal resistance 0.1170 Ohms - Seward Calc 0.22 Ohms

1mm CSA (10A) 12M nominal resistance 0.2340 Ohms - Seward Calc 0.34 Ohms

I know there needs to be a margin added for contact resistance in the plugs, but isn't ths going a bit far?

For example:
