We currently have 2 Supernova Plus testers, 1 for each area we work in. All the test results are downloaded to a laptop at our main office. As at times the 2 testers are at the main offices, we get them mixed up when doing PAT testing on site. We have our own workshops here and many electric hand tools, as well as many electric hand tools out on various sites. We try to test all the hand tools on a yearly cycle.
Problem 1:
If user 1, on tester 1, gives a site a name. ie "Site 1", and if user 2, on tester 2, gives the same site a different name, ie " Main Office", is it possible to change the name of the sites in PATGuard Plus, to the same name and locations?
Problem 2:
On the main menu, Appliance id, we input a number, this number is unique to each item and never changes. This number becomes the Asset id, in the Asset details page on PATGuard Plus. No problem so far...
When the re-test period is up for an item (Asset), we input the Appliance id number and conduct the test. When the test results are downloaded to our laptop, only the first test results are shown, not the new ones and each item is still flagged red, due for re-testing. Do we have to manually remove / delete the old test results before the new ones are downloaded? We would like to keep a record of all tests carried out on an item over its life time and a paper record isn't ideal.
