Test Dates not Overriding

Can someone explain why if I do a quick visual check on a new PC (just to get it in the database and allow the IT dept to get it up and running, we are talking rooms full of PC's at a time!) then go back and do a full test on it at a later date, as soon as the visual expires the whole record in PG3 remains red (indicating an expired date) even though the full test date still has 4 years to run.
Is this a PG3 problem or yet another problem caused by the way it has been set up on our servers?

Cheers.
Ford.

Hi Ford, not much response to this after a year! I have just checked with some of my assets that have visuals due but not full tests, they are all highlighted in red as well so I think it must be the way PG3 is written.

Hi Oilspark,

Thanks for confirming that it's not our server setup and a PG3 problem, one less thing to complain to our IT guys about :D

Thanks again.
Ford.

I have the same problem, and have had trouble explaining to our auditor why items which have passed full test & inspections are still marked red on the database.

Please get this fixed!

Hi Guys

After adding the full test results you need to close the database and re-open and the assets will be shown in black and not red.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for the reply.
Is the procedure the same for the SQL version of PG3?

Hi Ford Prefect

I believe so as the front end is effectively the same although SQL is no longer supplied or supported so I have no way of checking.

Ford, did this work for you?
I have just done a load of full tests but none of the visual test dates have updated even after restarting the program, as suggested to you by Amy, the dates have not been updated.
Funnily enough though, when I load the results into a blank database all works fine.
According to the release notes, a full test should force the recalculation of the next formal visual inspection so what could be going wrong?
