Field Service/Calibration Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING: define the level of education and examination standard that the job requires, including professional and technical qualifications.
- HNC in electronics (minimum)
- (or) Proven experience in a similar role
- Clean Driving Licence EXPERIENCE: consider the type, level and quality of experience, e.g. experience of supervising staff, including conducting staff reviews/appraisals (if applicable) etc.
- Repair of test instruments to component level
- Calibration of various types of test equipment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: this covers the specific skills and knowledge the person is required to bring to the role and describes the behaviour needed for effective performance.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to read and work from circuit diagrams.
- Ability to follow test procedures and work from instrument specifications GENERAL ATTRIBUTES: this section should refer to particular aspects of personality that are required to carry out the duties of the post.
- Must be willing to travel within reason at short notice.
- Outgoing with a good attitude to others.
- Diligent with an attention to detail.
- Smart appearance.
- Have a positive attitude when visiting customers.
- Punctual and prepared to be flexible OTHER: To be used as necessary to list any criteria not covered by any of the above categories
