Job Title: Product Support Engineer
Department: Engineering
Location: County Durham, UK

 

Job Purpose:

  • To assist and support design engineers in the new product introduction (NPI) process.
  • To support the Production and Production Engineering departments.
  • You will have Indirect contact with a wide selection of departments.
  • Supports the MR system and contributes to the Quality system.

Accountabilities:

  • To manage the modification request (MR) process to the Seaward quality systems.
  • To manage the product variant request (PVR) system.
  • To manage and create documentation required for the NPI process to the Seaward quality system.
  • Provide support to the Production engineering department.
  • Liaison with external suppliers and sub-contractors.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good communication skills.
  • An ability to integrate, develop and maintain relationships within the department, inter-department and with outside organisations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MRP systems, Bill of Material (BOM) structures and generation.
  • Time management skills, multi-tasking.
  • Working knowledge of design for manufacture.

Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Department: Calibrationhouse
Location: County Durham, UK

 

The Seaward Group is looking for an Experienced Warehouse Operator to work in their Operations Department. Reporting to a Production Supervisor, you will be expected to work in our busy service goods inward / despatch area. The roll will also involve picking and packing.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a demanding area of the business
  • The ability to pick and pack (100% accuracy is expected)
  • Some production line experience would be an advantage
  • The ability to work without direct supervision
  • Some IT skill is preferred (training will be provided)

Job Title: Technical Sales Executive
Department: Rigel Medical
Location: UK based

Job Purpose:

  • Providing excellent customer service by understanding the customer needs and translating these into the best possible value offering within our product range
  • Pro-actively generating and closing sales opportunities in accordance with the above within an international market place.
  • Managing the opportunity funnel from capturing, analysing, distribution, raising quotations and follow up.
  • Supporting the external sales team by providing first level product support, pre-qualifying and setting up appointments.
  • Support the international distribution channel in the sales process from lead referral to closing stage and maintain a regular communication program.
  • Be prepared to make occasional market visit to UK and European clients.
  • Pre-qualify sales enquiries and submit quotations within 24 hours.
  • Manage an opportunity pipeline in line with departmental targets.
  • Convert sales opportunities in line with departmental targets.
  • Provide weekly update reports on opportunity pipeline.
  • Produce monthly distributor communication reports.

Other Areas:

  • Produce regular updates on Market opportunities, install base and competitor info.
  • Direct liaison with Sales Manager and BDM’s to provide technical and product support.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of call as commercial product expert to our customer base.
  • Take full ownership of the sales lead process from pre-qualifying to follow-up
  • Drive a suspecting and prospecting program of sales opportunities both by geographical area or industry sector.
  • Monitoring website activities and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Managing CRM (Goldmine) database to ensure correct data is available for analyses.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required:

  • Qualified to HND / Degree level within a technical discipline preferably in Electronics.
  • Experience, Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience in a technical or international sales environment is a must.
  • Self-motivation and desire to complete your work unsupervised are key to being successful.
  • Possess excellent PC skills in particular Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Great attention to detail and tenacity is required in this role.
  • Additional spoken and written European languages will be considered a benefit.

Job Title: Business Development Manager Northern Europe
Department: Rigel Medical
Location: Europe

Job Purpose:

  • Manage sales growth through existing Northern European Distribution network
  • Acquire new distribution partners in Eastern Europe and Baltic region
  • Developing new business through targeted prospecting of Key Accounts
  • Providing the business with accurate forecasting of business opportunities
  • Monitor market behaviours and trends and adapt strategies where required to ensure the best possible outcome
  • Providing excellent levels of customer support through;
    • Delivering products demonstrations and training
    • Organising and delivering informative seminars
    • Participating in local and national exhibitions
    • Providing detailed reports to enable improvement of business processes

Hard Data

  • Sales
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly territory intake targets
  • Develop and manage an opportunity pipeline exceeding 3 x monthly intake target
  • Acquire at least 2 strategic accounts per annum, considered market influencers.
  • Ensure 100% customer retention
  • Have biannual distributor appraisals and identify ways for growth
  • Substantial travel is required for this position, at least 50% of available work days spend in the field.

Accountabilities:

  • Developing the sales strategy and setting sales targets for each country by product, by market sector (i.e. manufacturing, service or hospitals).
  • Actions to develop and maintain an opportunity pipeline at 3x the value of intake target.
  • Managing and developing the Northern European Distribution Network
  • Report to the business an accurate production forecast by on quarterly basis
  • Identifying various routes to market in line with the company’s target market sectors.
  • Developing and maintaining a key account portfolio within the territory.
  • Providing both technical and commercial support & training to the distribution network
  • Identifying new product opportunities within the medical sector.
  • Identifying and supporting marketing activities within the territory.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required:

  • Technical qualification to a minimum of HND-level or equivalent
  • Management Qualification to NVQ 4-level or equivalent
  • Proven track record in achieving international sales targets in B2B sales
  • Experience in successfully managing a multi cultural network of distributors
  • Experience in identifying strategic sales and product opportunities
  • Experience in successfully launching new products to market
  • Proven track record in developing key accounts
  • Be fluent in business / technical German
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and remotely from the HQ
  • Professional communication skills in English both written and spoken English.
  • Good understanding of electronics and in specific test and measurement equipment and techniques, preferably those used within the medical industry.
  • Valid EU driving license
  • Substantial travel is required for this position
